MPs will soon debate the final draft of the proposed new assisted suicide bill. Not Dead Yet UK believes it poses a serious threat to disabled people’s rights and safety.
That’s why we’re asking all our supporters to take five simple actions before May 16th to help stop the bill (please do as many as possible).
1. Send a Postcard
Send a postcard with a strong message to your MP. We've had one printed for you. Follow this link to get one, and we will do the rest for you. Get extra and get your friends and family to send them as well.
2. Share Your Story on Video
A short (2 mins) video clip can speak volumes. Tell MPs why this bill puts disabled people at risk. We’ve added some questions to help you get started. Send your videos to us, and we will promote them.
3. Write to Your MP
Personal letters work. Use our quick link to find your MP and a ready-to-edit template.👉 Visit our Website for the letter template and look up your MP
4. Check Out Our Social Media
Have a look at our social media accounts to hear how disabled people feel about the assisted suicide bill and to keep up to date with what is going on. Please repost everything we put out to spread the word.
5. Ask Your Local DPO to Act
Contact your local Disabled People’s Organisation. Ask them to encourage members to do all of the above and support our message to MPs. Every voice counts. DPOs - send your logo to hello@notdeadyetuk.org. We’ll add it to our supporters' page on our website.
📝 BONUS: Fill Out Our Quick Survey
We want to hear from you. What are your views on assisted suicide, and how should we campaign going forward?
Together, we are stronger. Thank you for standing with us.
